This program is designed for musicians of all skill levels who want to take their playing to the next level. The curriculum is based on the Kyū and Dan Ranking System, and covers a wide range of techniques and styles to help you achieve mastery of your chosen instrument.
White Belt: This level is for beginners and covers the basics of music theory, proper posture, and hand positioning for your chosen instrument. You will learn basic chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as basic music theory and notation.
Yellow Belt: This level is for intermediate players and builds on the skills learned in the Hachikyū level. You will learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation. You will also learn basic improvisation techniques and begin to develop your own style.
Rokkyū
Orange Belt: This level is for intermediate to advanced players and covers advanced techniques such as arpeggios, advanced sheet music reading, and advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation. You will also learn more advanced improvisation techniques and begin to develop your own style.
Gokyū
Blue Belt: This level is for advanced players, you will learn more complex techniques such as fingerstyle, advanced improvisation techniques, and more advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will also learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation.
Yonkyū
Green Belt: This level is for advanced players and it builds on the skills learned in the Gokyū level. You will learn more advanced techniques such as advanced music notation, advanced effects, and advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will also learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation.
Sankyū
Purple Belt: This level is for advanced to mastering players, you will learn more complex techniques such as advanced arrangement and composition, advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument, and advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will also learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation.
Nikyū
Brown Belt: This level is for mastering players, you will learn more complex techniques such as advanced recording techniques and sound engineering, and advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will also learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation.
Ikkyū
Brown Black Stripe Belt: This level is for mastering players, you will learn advanced techniques such as advanced composition, arrangement, and orchestration, advanced techniques specific to your chosen instrument. You will also learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation. Additionally, you will learn teaching and instruction techniques and how to train and condition other musicians.
