This level is for advanced players and covers advanced techniques such as alternate picking, sweep picking, and tapping. You will learn more advanced chords, scales, and rhythm patterns, as well as more advanced music theory and notation. You will also learn more advanced improvisation techniques and begin to develop your own style.
The Rokkyū guitar course is designed to build on the skills and concepts learned in the previous levels and to introduce students to more advanced techniques. The curriculum covers the following topics:
More advanced chords and chord progressions: students will learn more complex chords and chord progressions, including suspended chords, extended chords, and chord inversions.
More advanced strumming patterns: students will learn more complex strumming patterns, including syncopated strums and double-time strums.
More advanced fingerpicking patterns: students will learn more complex fingerpicking patterns, including arpeggios and cross-picking patterns.
Basic improvisation: students will learn basic improvisation techniques, including creating melodies and solos on the spot.
Basic music theory: students will learn more about scales, modes and chords and their relation to harmony and chord progressions.
Basic ear training: students will learn more advanced ear training techniques, including recognizing chords and chord progressions by ear.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical exercises and play-alongs with backing tracks.
